First Ebola-like virus native to Europe is discovered in Spanish bats

A virus that is similar to the deadly Ebola strain has been discovered in Europe for the first time.

Scientists found the Lloviu virus – a filovirus normally found in East Africa and the Philippines – in a group of bats living in caves in Asturias and Cantabria, in northern Spain.

Researchers told the journal PLOS Pathogens that filoviruses were among the deadliest in humans – and that the study showed how the strains were developing and spreading.

Study author Gustavo Palacios said: ‘The detection of this novel filovirus in Spain is intriguing because it is completely outside of its previously described range.

‘We need to ascertain whether other filoviruses native to Europe exist, and more importantly, if and how it causes disease.’

Scientists analysed samples from the lungs, livers, spleens, throats and brains from 34 bats found in the caves.

und? hauen erstmal um sich. Aber wo bitte bleibt Anstand Sitte und Moral? Wo bleibt der Satz und dessen Inhalt: wir dienen dem Volke, wir sind Demokraten? Bei Diäten? Als leere Satzhülse?

Der Berufspolitiker, Jahrzehnte im Amt, Macht in den Händen die es aber auch zu verteidigen gilt. Warum wird erst daruf geschlagen anstatt mal “Mann’s” genug zu sein und einfach mal die Wahrheit sagen? Schwierig? Denn ein Politiker lügt nie? Er bekommt ne lange Nase? Oder ist der Lügenwald schon so dicht das nur noch mehr…………und weil sie die Übersicht verloren haben?

Der Staatstrojaner eine Schaumschlacht, der Tanz um den heissen Brei.

Aber schlimm genug das einmal viel Geld ausgegeben wurde für das Schaffen dieses Werkes, das Antivirenhersteller involviert werden mussten und wohl auch wurden. Aber, das diese Software (setzen wir mal die CCC Analyse als wahr an) eine katastrophale Programmierung ist und die Sicherheit des Computers mehr als nur gefährdet.

Ein Anbieter von Antivirensoftware soll den Staatstrojaner so angepasst haben, dass der Angriff nicht angezeigt wurde. Das geht aus einem unbestätigten Medienbericht hervor.

 

Ein Antivirenhersteller in Deutschland soll beim Einsatz des Staatstrojaners geholfen haben. Das berichtet das Magazin Computerbild unter Berufung auf Unternehmensquellen. Den Namen des Unternehmens nennt Computerbild nicht.

“Eine Strafverfolgungsbehörde hat sich an uns gewandt und unsere Mitarbeit angefragt. Ein User wurde anhand eines gezielten Angriffs ausgespäht”, zitiert die Redaktion aus einer vertraulichen Nachricht eines “hochrangigen Mitarbeiters” des Antivirenherstellers. Dem Sicherheitsunternehmen sei der Staatstrojaner überlassen worden. Der Anbieter habe die Govware dann so angepasst, dass seine Antivirensoftware den Betroffenen nicht warnte und so die Überwachung ermöglichte.An

Canadian anthropolgist Felix Pharand has devoted 13 years to creating diagrams of how human technologies such as data cables, aeroplanes and roads are colonising the surface of our planet.

Using an ordinary home PC, Pharand input data from agencies such as the Geospatial Intelligence Agency and Atmospheric Administration to create accurate illustrations of how humans have ‘domesticated’ our planet – superimposing the data on images of the earth’s cities lit up at night.

Pharand claims three per cent of the planet’s land surface is under tarmac – an area the size of India.

E. coli infection cases rise sharply in Germany

E. coli infection cases rise sharply in Germany

Germany’s disease control center reported on Wednesday 365 new cases of the fatal enterohemorrhagic E. coli (EHEC), which marked a sharp rise since its outbreak in the middle of May.

Twenty-five percent of the new cases involved the hemolytic- uremic syndrome (HUS), a serious complication resulting from E. coli infection that affects the blood and kidneys, Germany’s Robert Koch Institute said.

Until now 17 people in Europe, one in Sweden, the other in Germany have been killed by the deadly disease, while the source of the infection was still not identified.
