China warnt USA: Angriff auf Pakistan hat den wert wie Angriff auf China

China has “warned in unequivocal terms that any attack on Pakistan would be construed as an attack on China”, The News daily quoted diplomatic sources as saying.

The warning was formally conveyed by the Chinese foreign minister at last week’s China-US strategic dialogue and economic talks in Washington, it said.

For his part, Gilani reiterated Pakistan’s support for its policy of ‘One China’ and said his country fully supports China on the issues of Taiwan and Tibet.

Since Sunday, water levels at about 1,392 water reservoirs in Hubei province have been too low to operate, and the water level of the Three Gorges Dam fell below 156 meters – the required level for full power generation – according to the latest statistics from the Hubei water resources bureau.

“The output of electricity decreased a little because the water flowing through the dam is less than usual,” Wang Hai, director of the transport division of the Three Gorges Corporation told China Daily.

The water depth at the dam stood at 154.8 meters on Tuesday afternoon.

Coto2: YOU Are Too Rich

economy-collapse

economy-collapse

By Steve Scheetz

Have you stopped to wonder why it is that many government programs seem to have been set in place in order to stop job growth, stop the economy and essentially destroy wealth while politicians, complete with soap boxes, continue to shout how we must do more to help the economy?

Here is one example of how this began to take shape since the booming economy of the 90’s.

Paul R Ehrlich believes that there are too many rich people in the world. At the International Conference on Population and Development” in Cairo in 1994, he delivered a paper stating, point blank, that the rich are burdens on global resources, and if we, as a people were to survive, we would have to ensure that everyone cuts his/her energy consumption, drastically.

Deutsche Bank CEO Ackermann Slammed
‘One of the Most Dangerous Bankers in the World’

Former IMF chief economist Simon Johnson has attacked Deutsche Bank CEO Josef Ackermann in an interview with a German newspaper. Johnson said that Ackermann was “dangerous” because of his excessive profit targets and accused him of taking excessive risks at the taxpayers’ expense.

For many people, Deutsche Bank CEO Josef Ackermann is a hero of the German business world. But for one leading economist, at least, the Swiss banker is nothing less than a villain.

In an interview with the left-leaning German daily Die Tageszeitung published Thursday, Simon Johnson, former chief economist of the International Monetary Fund, described Ackermann as “one of the most dangerous bankers in the world.”

Johnson singled out Ackermann’s famous target of a 25 percent pretax return on equity for particular criticism. He said such returns were only possible because Ackermann knows that Deutsche Bank is too big to fail and that it would be “rescued by taxpayers” if it was faced with bankruptcy. Return on equity is calculated by dividing profit by the capital invested.

A deadly tornado stretching a mile wide tore through downtown Tuscaloosa, Ala., on Wednesday evening, destroying homes and buildings and bringing further damage to a region already battered by storms.

Across the state, at least 25 people were killed by storms on Wednesday alone, said Valerie Hayes, a spokeswoman for the Alabama Emergency Management Agency. But that number did not include any deaths from Tuscaloosa, where 15 people were confirmed dead by the mayor’s office and 100 were said to be injured, The Tuscaloosa News reported. Earlier in the day, with the damage spreading and the death toll rising, Gov. Robert Bentley declared a state of emergency. And The Associated Press reported that across the South, storms Wednesday killed 11 people in Mississippi, two in Georgia and one in Tennessee.
